The lights need a proper lens not a gel lens, for durability. The outer trim cover is not large enough, because with the 5/8 inch hole that needs to be drilled into the hull, it does not cover the entire hole with out a lot of sealant. There is a huge possibility of water leakage and saturation.

Bought new Ghost X to replace original Ghost trolling motor, mainly for the warranty and peace of mind of a new unit. After using it several times now, here is my review of what you get/don't get in the upgrade. First off, the unit is noticeably quieter, both with the prop engaged, and the servo motor operating the steering. It is really noticeable in anchor mode, as the unit just does its thing without any noise or quick spinning around.
The additional power appears to be negligible compared to the old Ghost. My old ghost ran 3.7/3.8 mph on gps at full speed (no current or wind). The new Ghost runs 4.0, so slightly faster, but not really noticeable.
I'm not a big scoper, so I don't see much advantage to the new arrows on the head. I thought the old ones were fairly easy to see, these are better but I'm not sure I can appreciate them significantly more.
The new transducer and 360 is pretty nice. Great picture, seams to work well. Only time will tell if the larger transducer mounted more on the bottom of the motor will be an issue for durability. As for now, it's pretty sweet. The new hand remote is not available yet but looks like it has more function than the old, although at a greater price. I will order it once available. Bottom line is that it is almost the same motor as the old Ghost. Much quieter, a little more power and a better transducer.
I think that the design of the bolt should be improved. The outer ring sleeve can be turned with a plier. I will modify it myself.

Just got the chance to use it.. I was very impressed with the Spot Lock and the jog features.. I paired it with a 36v lithium and fished all day with the battery only using 10% of battery life.. Thank you BLM.
